Lies I Tell Myself At Four in the Morning

I do not own the photo. Photo taken from diyphotography.com

The world cannot ruin me.

For I am a wasteland,

A place of unfounded and forgotten dreams.

The world cannot ruin me.

For I am a castle of lies,

I was built with closed doors and undisclosed whispers.

The world cannot ruin me.

For I am an arsonist,

Both of my hands are covered with ashes and I reek of smoke and death.

The world cannot ruin me.

For I am a dead bouquet of lilies,

No longer thirsty for life.

The world cannot ruin me.

The world have ruined me.
